Second Life - Jebamony Mathias - Lords wonders, miracles and signs

28th May 2014. 5.30 a.m. I was shaken into wakefulness before alarm gave its sound, and I packed the essentials: medicines, dresses, books, and computer in half-asleep.

6.15 a.m. The driver reached at home in a hurry.

6.25 a.m. He brushed the car and loaded the baggage. I told him to pray and the words I remember are, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

6.30 a.m. There were exchanges of greetings; we said a bye and set out.

8.00 a.m. When we were passing Ratna Giri, my niece Acily called. “We are on the way near Vellore; we will reach Coimbatore around 3 p.m.,” I spoke and disconnected the phone.

8.05 a.m. We had a tasteful South Indian gastronomy gourmet at Murugan Idli Kadai and broken the fasting.

8.40 a.m. We continued our journey towards Coimbatore.

8.45 a.m. My friend Chezian called. “I am travelling to Coimbatore and will meet you next week,” I finished the call.

9.00 a.m. The speed of the car was 100 km. We crossed CMC hospital Vellore. I told the driver, “The travel is to relax. Please go slow”, and and switch on the lap top. “Driver was not controlling the vehicle and the car was swaying on the road,” I observed. It disturbed my work. I saw the speedometer. The reading was 120 km. I wanted him to slow down the car; saw a bridge from little long distance; bent down and switched off the laptop urgently. In the mean time, he hit on the right divider.

Little later, I realized that I was on the road. I felt a heavy bang on the right lower back and sensed an injury in the forehead. Blood was oozing on all sides. I had a strong feeling that my spine was broken. “I am going to be lifted up in few minutes,” I thought. It created a heavy burden for not having a chance to see the kindred and well wishers before my departure.

I felt a hot blazing fire around me and I was burning. Then, I saw a very bright light in the sky and it was piercing through my body. It awakened me and poured spirit in me. I humbly submitted to Lord, and prayed, “Oh Lord, Oh God, my spine is broken. Please do not put me in the bed. Lift me to your place.” He responded, “I will not lift you up, but, instead I will make you to walk. You have not done what you are to.” Fear created in me. In a state of obedience and doubt, I asked, “How about the driver?” “He will go with you,” He affirmed.

“Use a big lever and hammer. Cut the steering. Remove the buckles. Bring him out,” voices came out. Therefore, I doubted God’s word. I thought that driver’s life was ended.  Lord confirmed me with the words, “Driver will go with you.”  I believed Him in the second time.

In a few minutes the driver came and stood near me. Blood was pumping out from his head. He said, “Sir, I’m leaving this world. Please take care of yourself.” Having said he bedded on the ground. There was a man who drove behind us, who saw the accident. He called the 108 ambulance. Lot of people gathered on the spot. Mass came from near villages; surrounded me and they spoke in different tongues and in different voices. “Everything is over and it is time for last rituals,” someone voiced. “Driver alone may survive,” another one sounded. “Survival is rare,” more phonations came out.

I cried out to Lord. His praise was on my tongue and I was praying loudly. On hearing my out loud voice, one person among the crowd said, “This is his last speech.” I stared at him from the reclining position on the sand. He thought that I became crazy. But, I knew that I was normal.

9.35 a.m. The ambulance arrived in 20 minutes. Two braves came closer. “I am a kidney transplanted man. I am taking treatment at CMC Hospital Vellore. Therefore, please take me there,” I requested. They lifted me to a height and accommodated in the ambulance as per my postulation.

I searched the mobile in my pant pocket, but, could not find it. I saw a person who was holding a blackberry mobile. I appealed him repeatedly regardless of my damaged collapsed body condition, because, it was very essential in that situation. The crowd advised him to return and lastly he returned with half-mind.

9.37 a.m. The ambulance moved. The hospital was 20 km away. There were 3 people inside - my driver, ambulance operator and myself. I was lying on the stretcher like a ‘crocodile on the land’. The driver sat on a fixed chair; he was not in a position to actuate; he sat bolt upright. I tried to move a little, but, could not; nevertheless, I was in an emplacement to communicate.

I found the phone number of Dr Simson (CMC Hospital) in the mobile and called him. There wasn't any response and therefore I typed the words: 'I met in an accident and coming to CMC' and sent out as a SMS. Next, I spoke to Justus – a well wisher, who is living in Vellore and explained my condition. Then, I spoke to my friend Chezian. After that, I rang up to my brother-in-laws (Robert and Wilfred). Lastly, I sent a SMS to my CEO Murugavel and then to my brother Christudhas. All communications ended in 5 minutes.

Then, I was reciting Lord’s powerful revelations at the time of accident and thinking the power of prayer. I looked at the driver and saw blood was bleeding from driver’s head. I told him to use a towel to hold it. He put his face down and said, “Sir, the time has come to leave this world.” “Moses raj, God saves both of us. He gave the words. Believe it,” I replied in a loud tone. He neither listened nor took the words into his heart. I repeated the the same words for several times.

9.55 a.m. We reached at CMC hospital. The person who called the ambulance had followed us. He took us into the hospital and paid the initial fee. Dr Simson waited in the causality entrance. He carried us into the emergency unit. I did not have any cash in the wallet and I therefore looked for help. Mr Justus reached and paid the necessary fees to begin the treatment. He met my demand in time.

10.30 a.m. The team took X-rays and MRIs. Dr.Simson was with me. “There is no spine injury,” he said and the words put me in a comfort zone. “There are multiple injuries. The team will treat you,” he continued further. “Driver is also Okay,” he informed and left to his duty.

4.00 p.m. Chezian rushed into the hospital ward along with Jenish. He came with some cash which I looked for.

5.00 p.m. Christudhas reached from Chennai. Several friends, relatives and well wishers were around. Dr did not allow eating nor drinking. I was tired and voracious.

8.00 p.m. Wilfred and Prema Latha came to the hospital ward. They came from Coimbatore, traveled over a period of 9 hours. They are wearisome and prosy.  I appeared to them like a man fighting for life. On seeing me, she became grim-faced, teary-eyed, and weeping. They could hardly speak and were trying to hold back their tears. I asked one question, “All human being like to live safely, but, does everyone deserve it?” Everyone turned silent.

9.30 p.m. I asked food. Sister took special permission from Dr and brought 3 idlis and helped to eat. 12 hours passed from the accident time.

10.30 p.m.  Dr came to the ward and discussed my case. "Left clavical fracture. Right rib crack. Injury on back and is trauma, forehead injury," he described and said, "I do not require any additional medicines." He knew that I was on regular medications for diabetic, hypertension, immune suppression etc,. He told that he could discharge me only after the natural urine flow. I could not relieve myself. After two hours of struggling, I passed the water and he gave permission to discharge. He wanted to save my transplanted kidney. He put stitches on the forehead.

3.30 a.m. 18 hours stint came to an end. The team asked me to stay in a hotel and instructed to follow up as an out-patient on the next day. Dr needed time to assess the trauma. “The outcome of the trauma is unpredictable,” he said. The team focused on the transplanted kidney’s functioning. “You are with right amount of medications and the healing must be natural,” they said.

31st May 2014. The person who saw the accident had narrated the incident over the phone. "It was 28th May, 9.15 a.m. You went at a speed of about 130 km and were nearing to Palli Kondan bridge. I was driving behind. Your car was moving back and forth on the road for about 2 minutes. I understood that the driver lost the control. In a moment, the car banged on the right divider and then hit on the left wall, went on its own way and impinged on the right and again on left wall and toppled. The car’s back door was broken. I saw you were thrown out and rolling over on the road, soaked with keel, sand and dust. I felt that everything was over. The car was separated into pieces. The crowd came in. They saw you fighting for life, but, they did not call for the ambulance. I came closer to you. You were bedded on the road, murmured and lamenting. Shockingly, you pointed out and showed your driver who was locked up inside the car and was fighting for life. I was shocked to see your actions: 'you pointing the driver in that collapsed condition and it was a wonder'."

“I did not point the driver,” I replied. “It was a miracle,” I said and “It was an encounter,” I cogitated. It was a fight against evil and Jesus saved me. We must trust in God in all things and He will always take care of every one of us. He will send His angels when needed and will en camp them around us to protect. “For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. (Psalm 91:11, 12).”

2nd Jun 2014. I met the Ortho Trauma doctor. He examined me and told that healing was happening. He instructed to remove the bandages and stitches 10 days later and asked to see him after a month. I started to Coimbatore after a stint of over 5 days in Vellore . My sister and her husband were with me. I gave a surprise look to everyone and they received accommodated me in a room. I could not and did not sleep for several days due to pain. I called Jesus in the early hours and read the Word of God as much as I could.

I walked outside the home in three days; went to the road twice a day, early morning and late evening; walked about 40 minutes. No stress. No strain. Physical pain did not bother. Situations forced me to exceed the expectations. I looked younger on every day, recovered gradually, steadily and won back the normal health; developed a profound effect on my inner world.

In a week time, I walked several miles on Mettupalayam road, sat on the road shops and drank tea like a normal man. People in the area saw me as a new migrant and they looked at the injury and the bandages with surprise.

I observed two facts in the accident. The injuries in my body were of different natures. I have a fistula in my left hand and therefore the hand is very weak. Entire part of left hand was injured, but, the fistula area alone was protected. How was it possible? It was a miracle. “Jesus saved me,” I believed.

There were several hurts in all parts of the body including abdomen. There was a cavity at the right lower back where one of my kidney was removed. There was a serious bang on that area due to which there was a blood clotting. The transplanted kidney is located in the front right abdomen and it was protected. How was it possible? “It was a miracle,” I trusted in Lord. Jesus delivered me out of the power of darkness. Darkness and the power of Satan should have no power over us. Christ lives in us and we are now spiritually seated with Him.  Let us believe. Let us see more wonders.

3rd Jun 2014.  One week after the accident. I called up the driver. His explanations put me into a more promoting state. Here are his words. He had family problems in related to his daughter’s marriage. He fought with his wife and did not sleep throughout night. Therefore, he was in the verge of sleeping while driving. He was not able to recall the accident. However, he heard a loud voice calling “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus” at the time of accident.  The same voice is echoing in his ear up until to this day. “Three times calling of Jesus saved us,” he concluded.

His second news was a surprise. “Sir, you were on unconscious condition. The crowd thought that you drove the car on your own. Therefore, no one was attending me. I was buckled up and locked inside the car fighting for life. The car was far away from the place where you were grounded and bedded. But, you informed and pointed the crowd that I was inside the car. Thereafter, some people came to me. They cut the door and took me out. I walked to you and saw you. You were flooded in blood lying on the sand.”

Driver’s words boasted and put me into the right track. In the state of unconscious, how was it possible me to speak to the crowd about the driver? It was not I did the job. Lord did His wonders. It was a miracle. I concluded that it was an encounter. It was a fight against evil. “Jesus saved me,” I believed. God listened and heard my voice in prayer. Praise be to God who has not rejected my prayer.

4th Jun 2014.  I found it difficult to stop my stream of uncontrolled thoughts about the accident, but, it did not help in anything. I was trapped like a fish caught in a net. Scenes went on the background like a fiction. It was morning. Full Gospel Church Pastor David William and his wife came to our home and they sat near me. They listened to my experience; consoled with words and shared the New Testament anti thesis. Pastor’s wife spoke about my life saving. She advised me to allot more time to Divine and asked to love people who do not love me at all. Pastor prayed with reverence for a speedy recovery. He asked me to take part in 40 days fasting prayer. They created a happy environment with encouraging words.

8th Jun 2014. Thirteen years ago, my mother got into a depressed state. I was in the hospital ICU unit then. Ever since, she could not distinguish right from wrong and was forced to live within four walls. I took the responsibility of her being gone to this state. I read the words in the Bible, “But now, Lord, what do I look for?  My hope is in you.” (Psalm 39:7). There was an evil spirit dominated in her and it did not allow her to speak the truth. I called my mother in the morning and prayed for her recuperation. I prayed every day morning. She continues her routine now.  Her home arrest came to an end. Thanks and praises to Lord for His wonders.

22nd Jun 2014. GEMS missionary Pr Mathews came to our home. I gave a testimony in the prayer meeting. Entire GEMS team prayed for my speedy recovery on that day. Pastor told that Lord will make me to walk all over the world within 3 months. He called me to Bihar in order to witness in the GEMS Churches’ conventions meetings. I agreed and booked tickets.

25th Jun 2014. Fasting prayers started. I took part in the prayers; surrendered to Jesus and promised that I will stand as a witness for His miracles, signs and wonders. Pastors’ messages were inspirational and spiritual on all 40 days. He taught the word of God in depth. The meetings transformed me. Prayers kept me in fearless state.

1st Aug 2014. I went to CMC hospital for review. Dr examined and said, “Elbow separation has aligned; the cracked bone became normal and blood clotting alone has to be resolved.” He prescribed an ointment to apply on the swelling area. “The trauma is under observation,” he mentioned and told me to see him a month later.

2nd Oct 2014. We 4 people traveled to GEMS missionary Bihar – Church of God pastors, Wilfred and me. On 3rd Oct, we were in Bethia, northern part of Bihar. Next day, I stood as a witness in GEMS St Paul’s Church and gave greetings message. On 5th, I witnessed in another GEMS church. On 7th, we visited Sitamandir GEMS church and prayed. Then, I gave witnessing messages at GEMS district conventions meetings. After that I witnessed in two GEMS churches in Bethia. Then, we traveled to Roxel.

I stood as a witness in the Church on 10th and 11th in the conventions meetings. On 13th, we went to Nepal and I stood as a witness in the GEMS Church. On 14th, we left to Deg-ri-zon GEMS headquarters. On 15th, we visited ‘Our People Project.’ Then, we met Bro.Augustine Jebakumar, GEMS Founder. We left to Chennai on next day.

I traveled several hundred miles in buses, cars, trains and airplanes. There was no power and water in some places and it did not bother. We did not lean on our understanding and acknowledged him in our travels. We believed in Him. He made the path straight.

26th Nov 2014. One month later. I went to CMC hospital to review. The separated elbow had joined completely. The rib crack had gone. Head injury scare vanished. The blood clotting trauma was resolved. I shared my Bihar visit to my Nephrologists. She encouraged. She told that my health was improving and she reduced some amount of medicine. “It was a miracle,” I assured. It is Grace. Thanks and praises for His wonders, miracles and signs.

21st Dec 2014. We discussed about parables, wonders, miracles, prophets and angels during our Christian studies at Madras University in Mar 2014. I had doubts about wonders at that time and the conclusion was that one must experience it. Three months later. On May 28th, I experienced His wonders.  In Dec 2014, I took M.A second year Christian Studies Examinations and wrote the papers with real experience of His miracles, signs and wonders. No one is like you, O LORD. You are great. You are Mighty. Your revelations are unimaginable.

19th Jan 2014. Jesus is giving a life and showing His kindness. I am a student of Baptist Seminary. I am standing as a witness in Churches. I am a member of a Full Gospel Pentecostal Church. I am teaching English language and subjects to the deserved. I am an employee of an Educational services initiative Organization. This is God’s plan for me in the new land.

I ask one question to myself. Does anyone benefit from me in continuing a life with such an incredible medical expenses? I get a positive answer and hence I am on the run. The days keep rolling. My Lord performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted. (Job 9:10) I liked to walk with the one who is flawless whom I fainted in love. He is Lord, He is God.

I adore myself that I am blessed and surrounded by the love I need. The renewed Hope continues with Faith. The incredible odyssey that has brought to this position, will take to next height.

It is good for me to be afflicted so that I am learning His decrees and therefore my hope is in His word. He does not ignore the cry of the afflicted.
